Cameron is a writer for Sci-Fi Shorts online publication, where he has won two Editor’s Choice Awards. He has also been published by multiple print magazines and was an Associate Editor for a non-profit’s editorial team. Cameron has experience editing in multiple genres (fiction and nonfiction) and has written on a variety of topics beyond fiction. Some of those include scripts for YouTube channels, articles about solar eclipses, and political series. Cameron understands what it means to maintain style guides and use powerful prose while trying to tell thematically compelling narratives.
In addition to running Wrestling with Words, Cameron also works at a small editorial agency and literary agency. He is a firm believer in mentorship, working daily with writing and publishing professionals.
While in college Cameron wrestled Division I at Iowa State University. Now, he works with kids and adults, training amateur and professional athletes in wrestling and Brazilian Jujitsu. Cameron is grateful he can blend both parts of his life, the grappling and coaching with the literary and writing. As a career, he took this blend, creating the brand Wrestling With Words.
Storytelling and story craft is his primary passion. Coaching and helping others achieve their goals is something that brings him a great amount of fulfillment and joy. Let Cameron know what you’re working on so he can consider how best he can help you by visiting the Write Me page.
